Picture
Kathie trained as a woodwind player before teaching music in London secondary schools and then going into music theatre. Organisations she has worked with include the Lyric Theatre, Belfast, Opera Northern Ireland,Opera Theatre Company, Dublin, The National Theatre, London and Druid Theatre, Galway. It was whilst working as an actor musician that she discovered the wonders of singing! She now teaches singing in schools, directs VIVA! The Dorchester Community Choir, runs singing workshops, "Full-bodied Voice Workshops" with yoga teacher Sharon Cox and is currently setting up, "Singing on Prescription", an Arts and Health project in the South West of England. Kathie is a firm believer that music-making should be accessible to everyone and is a member of the Natural Voice Practitioners Network.
