These costs are inline with Musician Union rates and reflect the financial obligations of our Visiting Music Teachers being self-employed, such as holiday pay, sick pay, pension contributions and tax.
A group lesson is only available if there are enough other children of the same standard wishing to take lessons.  If you are thinking about your child starting lessons and would like a group lesson, why not try asking other parents in your child's class or year whether they might like their children to learn too.  Creating a group in this way would ensure that a group lesson would be possible.
