The orchestral Brass family consists of the Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn and Tuba.  You can also learn the Cornet, Tenor Horn and Euphonium with DASP.
The trumpet can be learnt from around year 3 onwards.  The larger brass instruments from around year 4 onwards.

Most brass instruments play in a variety of styles including classical, jazz and pop.

If you learnt a brass instrument, you could join the Training Windband, DASP Youth Orchestra, and Brass Ensemble.  As you progressed to The Thomas Hardye School, you would be able to play with the THS Orchestra, THS Concert Band, THS Big Band and THS Brass Ensemble.
