Emma-Louise Griffin - Flute, Clarinet, Sax
Emma grew up in Bridport and started to learn the Flute aged 8 and later the Saxophone and Clarinet.
She started her music career with the Royal Marines Band Service studying with Christine Roberts of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra whilst at the Royal Marines School of Music in Portsmouth. During this time, Clarinet was her specialism and she took part in small ensembles, concert band and parade band.
Over the last 20 years, she has always been involved with music in some way whether supporting others or performing in public in the UK and abroad.
After leaving the military, she taught privately and provided musical support for wind bands.
Emma currently teaches in Dorchester Middle schools, with the view that music-making should be fun and ensures that this is at the front of her teaching when getting students to develop their learning.
In her spare time Emma enjoys painting, gardening and days out exploring the south coast with her husband and young son.
